Children's Programs & Nursery Care
Some people were bringing little children to Him so He might touch them. But His disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw it, He was indignant and said to them, "Let the little children come to Me; don't stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I assure you: Whoever does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." After taking them in His arms, He laid His hands on them and blessed them. Mark 10:13-16 (HCSB)
DURING THE SERVICE
During the worship service we encourage parents to have their children, ages four and up, sit with them. The congregation loves having children join the adults in singing, praying, and listening to the Word of God. Occasionally, children will even participate in leading the service in worship through a choir presentation or drama. At one point, children are invited to come forward for the children's sermon. At this time the pastor will share a simple biblical truth with them in the form of an object lesson. The church also provides quiet activities for children to work on as they sit and listen to the sermon beside their parents.
NURSERY
During the Sunday morning Bible Studies and service, the nursery is available for children from birth to age three. Not only does the nursery provide an opportunity for children to be taken care of while parents are away being fed spiritually, but the nursery workers provide simple teaching lessons to introduce beginning minds to the stories of the Bible. Each nursery worker has cleared a criminal background check and has undergone training to know how to best care for these young children.
